The Most Complete Shiva Pilgrimage

Where Lord Shiva disappeared into the earth — and left five sacred traces behind.

After the great war of Mahabharata, the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva to atone for the sin of killing their kin. Shiva, grieving the bloodshed, took the form of a bull and vanished into the Garhwal Himalayas. When Bhima seized the bull, Shiva disappeared into the earth — scattering his body parts across five mountain locations. These became the Panch Kedar: the hump at Kedarnath, the arms at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the navel at Madhmaheshwar, and the matted hair at Kalpeshwar.

Completing the Panch Kedar Yatra is one of the most revered acts of devotion in Shaivism — far rarer than the Char Dham Yatra, requiring 12 days, high-altitude trekking, and genuine commitment. Our package handles all logistics so you can focus entirely on the yatra.

The route takes you through the alpine meadows of Lyuti Bugyal, the forest trails above Chopta, the serene Madhmaheshwar valley, and finally the stone temple of Kedarnath with the Himalayan peaks rising behind it at dawn.

FAQ

Everything you wanted to ask about Panch Kedar Yatra.

Panch Kedar refers to five sacred Shiva temples in the Garhwal Himalayas — Kedarnath, Madhmaheshwar, Tungnath, Rudranath, and Kalpeshwar. According to the Mahabharata, these five spots mark where different body parts of Lord Shiva appeared after he took the form of a bull to evade the Pandavas. Completing all five is considered among the most spiritually significant pilgrimages in Hinduism.
